JEAN LUPU ANTIQUE DEALER SINCE 1958
Carrying on the family tradition and passionately fond of antiquities since his youth, Jean LUPU set up in 1963 his gallery looking on to the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, n° 43.
JEAN LUPU, member of the Chambre Nationale des Experts, works closely with the most important decorators and designers. He numbers among his clients the Musée du Louvre, the J-Paul Getty Museum and the Metropolitan Museum. He is proud of having helped to create famous private collections.
JEAN LUPU considers with great discretion the purchase of collections. He is pleased to make free estimations of 17th, 18th and 19th century furniture. All items sold at the gallery have a garantee certificate. |
A gallery looking on to the courtyard and on to the garden
Distributed in several drawing rooms, it is ideally located on one of the most elegant avenue of Paris, the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, between the Palais de l'Élysée, the formal residence of the French President, and the Ambassy of the United States.
The boiseries and the marvelous ceiling paintings, miraculously preserved, are a sort of jewel case for a fine selection of first class French furniture, some of royal origin. Prestigious furniture, some by André-Charles Boulle, by Charles Cressent or Jean-Henri Riesener, are displayed with exceptional works of art. |
